banned for playing a song that I asked permission for - max (3) - 05-28-2024 Ingame Name: max SteamID: 76561198396721896 Who Banned You: Foxka Reason For Ban: playing a song that I got permission Length of Ban: 3 days Reason for Admins to Unban: I really don't understand the rules anymore. I asked a mod (Xpheos) to queue a song to see if it was appropriate. They told me that as long as it's not racist, it's okay. I told them I'd queue it and you be the judge of that. I played a Dixon Dallas song (not racist song obv). It was deemed inappropriate, and he stopped the music. No harm done, right? So, why were the points immediately added even after asking permission? The whole point of me queuing that song was to see if I could queue in the future. Can we not even ask for clarification about anything? A simple "don't play that again" would have sufficed. I am genuinely appalled by the lack of communication from whoever monitors it. Literally, a similar thing happened before. I have included the ticket link below. I don't have a problem with the ban. I will gladly take the ban, but slapping points here and there seems foolish, especially when it was all done in jest. Have you been banned before (Link relevant threads): https://discord.com/channels/263536374198566914/1244438806648717312/1244438808280174646 Other: RE: banned for playing a song that I asked permission for - Saylor Twift - 05-28-2024 You should probably check out the Donor Guidelines: "Under no circumstances are you allowed to queue songs/audio that are too loud (AKA: Ear-rape), contain bigotry, or play any +18 plus content (ie: moaning, any audio from porn, etc...)" RE: banned for playing a song that I asked permission for - Saylor Twift - 05-28-2024 Pretty sure I already gave you a verbal warning for that same exact queue on the 25th, had to use the !ss command that time as well. Why would you try to queue something that you have already been told not to queue? -1 for whatever this appeal is asking for RE: banned for playing a song that I asked permission for - max (3) - 05-28-2024 (05-28-2024, 07:52 PM)Saylor Twift Wrote: Pretty sure I already gave you a verbal warning for that same exact queue on the 25th, had to use the !ss command that time as well. If you gave me a verbal warning before, fair game, can't argue with that but I don't recall as the lobby is always noisy. ? Nah fam you queued a sexually explicit song in the presence of a VERY OBVIOUS minor that was on the server. I do not support an unban and I really think you should reevaluate your ways. -1 Also, the person you 'asked permission' from is a donor tmod from where you can buy staff and is not up to date with current rules and stuff, not to throw them under the bus. I just wanted some clarification. Everybody was moaning at one point, and I did one more and you slapped the points right off the bat. Don't single me out with the "sexual conversations" when there were others who were doing the same thing. Besides, I didn't even see your warning as I mentioned in the ticket.(05-28-2024, 08:18 PM)max (3) Wrote:how about the actual warning i gave you for overly sexual conversations you were making about 2 days ago?(05-28-2024, 07:52 PM)Saylor Twift Wrote: Pretty sure I already gave you a verbal warning for that same exact queue on the 25th, had to use the !ss command that time as well. I just thought that was someone pretending to be a kid — which in past people have done that. If that was an actual minor, I obviously apologise for it. Don't get mad when people just want some clarification. I will make sure to be mindful next time. RE: banned for playing a song that I asked permission for - Ryan - 05-28-2024 For clarification: that queue, specifically, has been disallowed and warned for across the board for at least the 6 months that I’ve been here. That specific queue is one of the few that has summarily been banned and warned for every time it’s been played. Even though there was some confusion with asking someone with a rank, I think the points should stay and you should wait out the ban. For future reference, to be safe, you can shoot a DM to any of online TTT staff that appear on the side bar in the discord server. They are all current active staff members. This was all I asked for without any apprehensive behavior. I will make sure to be more mindful. RE: banned for playing a song that I asked permission for - slater - 05-29-2024 I agree with ryan. To add on top of that, it should be common sense to not have sexual stuff played or talked about with a minor around the server. If you ever have questions in server as well, you can type @ in the chat and your message to dm any online staff members into the staff chat for questions, concerns, or anything in general. -1 for the unban, I would just wait it out. |
