Also, I dont know if anything can be done with the map voting, but today I played on crummycradle for a solid hour, and when it came time to map vote it would just keep getting extended.  I know this wont be too much of an issue but Im curious if there is a way to limit map extensions to just one time per map.  

Lol, There should be. I actually thought you could only extend once, which is the most logical. I haven’t been playing much lately so I didn’t experience a map being extended more than once.

I wouldn’t like to see player names in colors. It should be left as it is. 
Regarding your other suggestions, they are ok.
