So what exactly was wrong with the Vanilla server? I only ever went on it once, so I know a lot of staff didn't really play on it and the people who did join were kind of cancer because it was only MC maps. Lots of kids and rdm. Was it just because it only had MC maps or were there other problems?

Dink changed it just a regular 2nd server since Vanilla wasn't really attracting other players. You can read more about it here.
