Just me being bored and to into data collection and data visualization.

I have been going some data collection and visualization for quite a few days now. :)

Mostly because I get bored and sometimes have nothing better to do.

So here is an example of one of the visualizations. These images show what map was played thru out the day yesterday. The left edge is midnight CST on 8-18-22 and the right edge is midnight on 8-19-2022 so the full image covers all of 8-18-2022. The black vertical lines mark off each hour.

This next image is a "Total" image. So it shows all the data I have collected on the plot. This one is showing the percent of full capacity for each of the servers. Time stamps are in EST.
Your going to want to open that image in a new tab. :P The red line is TTT, Green line is PH Blue line is murder and yellow line is deathrun.

This show the average of all the days I have collected.

These show map play times in minutes for the full collection period so far. - This is with times when the server had less then 2 players removed, to prevent when the server is idle on a map overnight skewing the numbers.

And yea that's basically it. I get bored a lot when I am not able to play on the server (for example not at home.) so I make programs to use up my time. I have been sharing this junk with the other staff probably boring them to death so its time to share the pain love.

If you guys have any other ideas as to what I can do with this stuff let me know. (I have player count, and map name plus the time it was collected as a unix time stamp also have my ping to the server but that's not interesting.)

The fact that rooftops is a top 5 map is crazy to me. I love this @chibill .

Just a bit of a bump with updated data / information. I finally have over a months worth of data. :) So the maps statistics makes some more sense now.

Also yes I see at points its above 100%, I think this is because of the weird issue were GMod will incorrectly report the max number of players sometimes.

Since you asked... could you get a popularity score of our maps as a function of the time the server is running map x and the number of people playing map x?
