I've come to the conclusion that the defibrillator is unfair and not in the spirit of TTT.
Yes, it's available to both sides. But who's guaranteed to make it to the end of the game? A Detective, or at least one Traitor? If the Traitors haven't played well enough to have the odds balanced in their favor, they don't deserve to be able to pay one credit (which they will have 99% percent of the time when they actually need a defibrillator at the end). Neither do the Detectives/Innocents if it's going that way.
It's not fair that all of the Innocents' skill in deduction can just be thrown away if a Traitor spends his one credit and revives his buddy. What could be a fair fight is too easily turned into an unfair one.
