While I agree with most of you that Mass RDM should be something less than a perma ban, or maybe it should only be permanent on 2nd offense, that's not how the rules are laid out right now. Hooper, you even mention that you've spent a good amount of time on the server and in the community, so you knew this going in, right? All I see in your appeal is that you think you should be unbanned or have a reduced ban because of the time you've spent playing on the server. There's no apology, and no acknowledgement of what you did is wrong other than "RDM is bad."

Chilli, I agree with you that 2nd chances should be given or else how can someone learn and change from previous behaviour. But those 2nd chances must be earned; just like you had to earn yours when you Mass RDMed a couple years ago. So, Hooper, if you want to try and earn that 2nd chance, tell me what should happen if you keep RDMing? Should you be on probation for a possible Consistent RDM ban if you continue? How are you going to change the way you play?

I'm going to say -1 since you have had been verbally warned on multiple occasions about rdm and targeting. All you do is laugh about massing and think it's funny when most of us are just trying to have a good time.

a watch for any sort of the consistent rdm would be good. If i break this second chance, i think perma banning me would be more fair.

Perma for mass RDM is insane. People are criticising him for the lack of effort in the appeal but actually getting on the forum and posting a ban appeal for a first time mass RDM is way more than enough, what else do you want him to say? He fucked around and found out

Question, any verbals or actual warns for their targeting? If a verbal happened, was it recorded in the staff chat?

We tend to unban for people's first mass if it seems genuine, which this does. If there /are/ actual recorded warns floating around, not just people being mad after they went for the unban request, then that changes how I feel. If there aren't any, +1 for unban after two weeks minus time served.

Not sure about there being verbal warns, but there is documentation of infractions. A targeted RDM on 12/12. With no awarn to supplement it, I assume it was verbally warned for. I will follow-up with the documenting staff member and give an update.

As for other history, there are 3 RDM + Leave warns dated 11/11, 12/6, and 12/12. Beyond that, there’s nothing I can find.

I've directly messaged you multiple times telling you that you consistently rdm yet you ignored it; every time we were on together I swear I was slaying you 2/3+ times per map.  Plus all I've heard from others is that you do the same thing (if not more consistently) when staff aren't on.  The overall reaction of people online in the server when you got banned was "oh my god how in the world did it take Hooper THIS long to get banned, they've been consistently rdming/targetting for ages."  Innos killing other innos can be a funny part of the game, like setting up a trap for someone to walk into or popping them with good comedic timing; chaos is kind of inherent to this type of rule-based gamemode, and that's a good thing.  What you would do wasn't usually making anyone laugh, it didn't feel playful, you would just kind of randomly decided to kill a person while looking at them, and doing that multiple times every map over the course of some days/weeks is exactly what's known as "consistent rdm."

Hey Hooper, the Admin Team has decided to deny this appeal. Normally mass rdm with a genuine appeal (this does seem like one) is a pretty easy appeal, but in your case it does seem that you have been a bit of a terror for the last few weeks. You can reappeal 1/19/2025.
