SCP-2743, also known as "Shwaggins," is a humanoid entity standing at approximately 1.8 meters in height, with a slender build and pale skin. It wears a tattered and stained red-and-white striped shirt, blue jeans, and black boots. Its face is obscured by a featureless, white mask, and its fingers are elongated and thin, resembling tree branches.
SCP-2743 has the ability to induce a hypnotic trance in any individual who maintains eye contact with it for more than five seconds. While under the influence of SCP-2743's trance, the affected individual will follow any commands given by SCP-2743, and will not resist any physical or verbal instructions. SCP-2743 can also erase the memories of individuals who have come into contact with it, making it difficult to track its movements and behavior.
SCP-2743 was discovered in a small town in rural America, where it was found to be masquerading as a traveling salesman. Foundation agents were alerted to SCP-2743's presence when reports of missing persons and strange behavior began to surface in the area. After a brief altercation, SCP-2743 was contained and transported to Site-██ for further study.
SCP-2743's containment procedures involve keeping it in a standard humanoid containment chamber with reinforced walls and no reflective surfaces. All personnel entering the chamber must wear eye protection and maintain a distance of at least 5 meters from SCP-2743 at all times.
