What cherry said is also correct, tho. There are too many times where people go too far and cross a line, even if they think it’s classic online banter. There are people behind the screens. Even outside of that, tho, the message itself violates at least 2 rules.I know a lot of staff usually don't warn for harassment against themselves because it's harder to judge if it is worth making a rise out of the issue especially if it was posted to staff discord and didn't have a lot of feedback from other staff at the time (i do remember seeing this message at some point and don't remember the responses to it) Also another thing is that one off comments are always hard to judge, a lot of times in my experience that kind of thing I was told to mark as a verbal and only warn if the behavior continued and to watch for it.
I would like to hear from tiefling about the context and timing before officially making a decision on whether or not to -1 or +1, but I am removing my +1 for now.
Edit: If that screenshot is 6 months old, why no warn?
Even if it is an old message it is good to know about previous old behaviors so it can be watched out for in the future or if any other slightly concerning behavior has been seen it can also be reported. It doesn't necessarily mean Mike is denied, but it is a mark against him at this time. Information about these things should be known for those asking to be part of the community management.
