Questions
1. Do you know what to major in?
- What do you enjoy doing?
- What don't you enjoy doing?
2. Have you spoken to a counselor yet? (they typically help in deciding a major)
3. What kind of college are you going to? (community or other)
4. What degree do you plan on getting?
Do
- Take it slow the first semester.
- Get in the habit of making lists of things to complete.
- Do homework as soon as possible.
- Figure out if you are eligible for financial aid.
- Use ratemyprofessors.com to have a good idea what to expect from a professor (don't rely on just one comment read multiple)
- Take your prerequisites classes as soon as possible.
- Check if there is a tutoring center (at least for me, I was helped with English essays and math homework.)
- Check if there is a fitness center (working out between classes kept my mind awake)
- Take good notes (WRITE DOWN NOTES)
- When you select a professor, contact them to determine expectations for a class.
- If you are having difficulties in your classes speak with the professor. They are (mostly) there to help you.
- If you become stressed either workout or meditate

Don't
- Don't fall back on homework assignments (it stacks up if you do).
