Paging all FTB:IEE players! Due to the decline in players, and since we've been on this pack for so long (more than a month already, time really flies), we've made the decision to switch the pack we're playing to another pack; All the Mods Expert. If you were put off from playing before because of the progress people had on you, this is the perfect time to go ahead and jump in, since we'll all be on equal footing! Further, no additional mods will be required to join this server, so you can just download the pack and start playing without any complications.
The changes are numerous, so I'm not going to list them, but you'll find that a number of the mods in this pack won't be found on the old pack, and that should mix up gameplay enough to get you interested. However, if you want to stay on familiar ground, that's fine, too! A number of mods such as Botania, Thaumcraft, IndustrialCraft2 and more are present, so you won't be too confused. Beyond that, the pack itself still retains the 'Expert' tagline; a lot of recipes are changed, and you'll have to come up with new ways to progress. Luckily for you, you spawn with a handy guide book, which will set you on the right path to get going. You're going to notice that the way progression is done is changed radically, perhaps even more so than the previous pack. Just stick to the guide book and you'll be fine.
The server is currently being set up, and we're going to using a new IP and a new host that will give us better performance. As a result, it's a possibility that we might open up our server to other websites like MinecraftForum, although we're still deciding. In the meantime, if you want to prepare for the server, you can do the following;
1. Download https://www.curse.com/download if you don't have it already
2. Go to the Creeper face on the left column
3. Select Browse All Modpacks at the top
4. Search for All the Mods Expert and select 'Install'
5. Optionally install Optifine for better performance and dynamic lighting
6. Wait patiently, or eagerly launch the game and screw around in singleplayer to get your bearings
We anticipate the server will be up sometime tonight. The first post on this thread and the title will be changed accordingly in the meantime.
