Figured I'd make a proper intro post as Ryan recommended! I'm meowriane, which is in fact a very bad meow pun on my actual name, Ariane! I've been playing TTT, with various large breaks, since 2014. I've always been a big fan of figuring out different strats and trying to figure out who the traitor is beyond seeing them do something bad. It's a great way to know who to keep an eye on, and I'm a lot better at it now than when I was a teenager.

Beyond TTT, I'm also a big fan of FFXIV. It's the only other game I'm actively playing at the moment, and one I'm actively trying to improve at endgame content in. I've thrown my head at the same 10 minutes fight for 239 successful runs (and some, much smaller number of unsuccessful runs) just to get a single item. 100% worth the grind.

And outside of video games, I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that I absolutely love TTRPGs. My personal favorite is Lancer, a mecha TTRPG. Started playing those I believe in 2018, maybe 2017. It was just DnD for a long while, but these days I prefer trying new systems that can do specific things way better. I've even got a list of systems I want to play someday, and it will only grow. I also play MTG, but only in video game format where I can do it for free. I'm not about to sink hundreds of dollars into cardboard. The last other hobby I have is chess, which I started playing in 2021. I figure I'm good enough now to beat anyone who doesn't study chess, but anyone who does could go either way. I usually just play bullet games nowadays.

Offline, I'm currently a master's student in Criminal Justice and Criminology. I'm hoping to finish up next semester and then do something actually productive. But I've really loved learning about the field and am more than happy to talk about what I know best. I could go on about a few different types of criminology theory, as well as various major issues the research has demonstrated. And don't even get me started on the war on drugs.

I think that's about all there is to introduce myself (Which to be fair, is a lot compared to the few introductions I looked at before typing this one up. I can talk a lot when I know what I'm talking about). Have a good one!

Just about all fish. I would get anxious looking at a gold fish. Cooked fish have a separate problem of the smell making me ill. Sharks bother me less than most fish.
