Security exploit? What you mean by that? I always thought the reason was because people tend to post inappropriate sprays. I don’t know what security exploit means. Then again it probably is none of my business anyway. I do agree that sprays should remain disable mainly because people tend to abuse them.

I am also curious about this security exploit.

I think --- in layman's terms ---

Malicious person tags on malicious content on a picture used as a spray, which is sent from their computer, to the server, to eventually your computer.

I could be wrong but this is just my speculation

So the reason as I understand it that sprays are disabled is that an exploit was discovered many years ago. Sprays auto download to the server as full files which allow someone to manipulate that into gaining full access of the server and files. This exploit was patched but dink most likely kept them disabled to prevent further issues plus you don't have people spraying porn everywhere.

To my knowledge of sprays from other servers outside of dinks that allow them....ughhh I heard one nsfw spray on repeat....its was a gif but with sound which wasn't a great idea to hear or see since its beyond what a minor should NOT have seen at all and it was to depth detail about it... so Hardpass of hearing or seeing nsfw sprays, the only thing here is only if your are friends on steam is when you see their spray, you only see the id location of where the person had sprayed.
