I'm not reporting anyone for abuse because they were mislead but every staff member needs to thoroughly read the rules when they become staff because I had multiple instances today where staff didn't know what was against the rules and what wasn't against the rules.

For example I was teleported twice on casino for "exploiting" and when I went over the checklist, it was not exploiting(the first time was arguable but the second wasn't)

and everyone review the test or kos rules because you do not have to give a 3,2,1 countdown. The rules clearly state that you only have to give "Ample time"

2. To call a "test or kos" the detective must give the name of the target, sufficient time for the target to test, and the target must be fairly close the detective and the tester, avoid "test or kosing" someone in chat if there is alot of chat spam.

If you want to remove my post go for it
just read the bloody rules, because some guests actually read them(like the test or kos one) and that rules says nothing about a 3,2,1 countdown and a dude almost got slain for it

Or if you want to, look over the rules and update them.

P.S.
I would gladly do this if you would like me to (I would read the rules over and make a forum post suggesting changes that could be made to better clarify to rules.)

I mean every staff that applies should have clear understanding of the rules  - And Admins and Dink have been updating the rules and always make sure that staff know of these changes.

Hi Brick,

You were teleported back into the spawn because you escaped the map's set boundaries, which is classified as exploiting. If you don't believe me, here's the specific line I am referring to from the rules: "Do not try to escape the map bounds or exploit map/server bugs that provide an unfair advantage to gameplay."

While the area you were in may not have provided an unfair advantage to your gameplay, it still was outside of the map boundaries.

With the Test or KOS rule, 3 seconds is enough (or ample) time for anybody who knows how to use a keyboard to use the Portable Tester. I didn't even see anybody almost get slain for not giving enough time, but I'll take your word for it because I don't pay attention sometimes. If any of the staff online were involved, please comment on this post and shine some more light on that situation.

The reason you were TP'd on Casino is because you were outside the map. 

I know you were linked the exploit thread,  but in the MOTD it clearly states in Rule 5:  

5. Do Not Exploit, Hack, Metagame or Otherwise Avoid the Game's Intended Limits

This includes ghosting*, metagaming, hacking, and exploiting maps. Ghosting includes sharing any type of information with someone from the grave that could affect the outcome of a round, including staff. Do not try to escape the map bounds or exploit map/server bugs that provide an unfair advantage to gameplay.

I'm not sure how recently you have played on the server, because when you were speaking with me you believed that it was allowed to be outside the map if you were able to be shot at/damaged.  If you forgot that's fine.


As for the   countdown, there can be various ways to give someone time to test.  The most popular one being the "3,2,1.." countdown mentioned. Ususally this rule is to make sure people dont get rdm'd because they couldn't test in under .0923237263293 seconds.  I've not seen anyone quarrel with the 3,2,1 countdown.  
If you believe there should be  a modification of that rule, the admins are always open to new ideas/modifications to existing rules.

In the first screenshot,   do you see that roped off area? It's the boundary of the map and no one can go past it.  You were past it and on top of the roof giving you a clear advantage.  It's an exploit.
